PRIOR YEARS

RunningFreeCropped.jpg

The foals presented on this page were sired by outside stallions prior to our purchase of our own stallion, TRS Renegade Dash (Shadow).  Although these prospects are now with their new owners, we are are proud to show you Shadow's first-ever foal crop from 2006, and the new 2007 foal crop, on our Sale pages.  They are out of some of the same dams as the foals you see here.  Each Spring, the new crop of foals join the rest of our stock at Muir Haven Farm and we're happy to welcome these latest "Shadow foals".  We'd enjoy helping you to "Reserve Your Dream" with just a phone call or email and a nominal down payment!

A sincere "Thank You" to all of our customers!

Bandit

This handsome colt is "Bandit", AQHA-registered as Gunsmoke Unlimited.  Bandit is out of our Mr. Gun Smoke mare, CJs Shootin Star. His half-sister is "Smoke", on our 2006 Sale page, and now a half-brother, Gator, in 2007, both sired by Shadow.  Bandit's older half-brother, Festus, is shown below.

Bandit was sired by Two T General Wilson, also known in the NCHA world as Hardrock Gentleman, owned by Doug Toney.

Bandit was purchased by Tamara Ray as a weanling, along with his pasture mate, "Bullet", shown below.

Tamara has many AQHA championships under her belt and has big plans for the future for Bandit and Bullet.  Watch for them both soon in the show arenas!

Thanks, Tamara, for your confidence in our colts and our breeding program!

BANDIT IS IN TRAINING FOR HIS NRHA FUTURITY!!

As an added note, Tamara also now owns "Dixie", pictured below!

Bullet

"Bullet", AQHA-registeredf as High Caliber Action, is seen here at just five weeks old.  He's out of our Mr. San Peppy granddaughter, Pepperroni Lil San.  Pepper is the dam to our 2006 black filly, Java, as well as to "Montana" below.  Left open for the 2007 season, Pepper is in foal for 2008 by Shadow.

Bullet was sired by Bullhide Bob, owned by Rachel O'Connor.  He's cow-bred all the way and promises to carry the winning ways of the champions on both sides of his pedigree.

Bullet was also purchased as a weanling, along with Bandit (above), by Tamara Ray who plans to have him trained for his NCHA FUTURITY.

Dixie

This young lady is Tabs Dixie War Lano and she has "Champion" written all over her.  She's out of our Doc O'Lena & Freckles Playboy-bred mare, Doco Senhorita Rey.  Dixie has three half-brothers, all sired by Shadow:  2006's Jesse, 2007's Abe, and 2008's Nacho.  Even though she's by a different sire, Dixie, Jesse and Abe carry very similar features, an obvious influence from their dam.

Dixie's royal pedigree is evident--her sire is Start Me A Tab.  Tab's titles include 2006 NRCHA Open Bridle World Champion and 2005 AQHA Congress Open Heading, 3rd.  Dixie herself is enrolled in the NRBC and is now owned by Tamara Ray, joining Bullet & Bandit!

Montana

This handsome stallion is "Montana", AQHA-registered as Bar Gold Poco Peppy.  He's the first-ever colt out of our mare, Pepperroni Lil San, a granddaughter of Mr. San Peppy.

His sire is Docs Bar Gold Leo.  Montana's half-brother is Bullet (above), and his half-sister is Java (x Shadow) the cute, black filly on the 2006 Crop page.

Pepper was sold to Mike & Terrie in 2008, bred back to Shadow--we will sorely miss her and her beautiful foals!

Colleen

"Colleen" truly lives up to the Celtic meaning of her name, Pretty Little Girl.  She's AQHA-registered as Docs Peppy Colena, out of a mare we no longer own, Miss Skippity Do.  "Dottie" had won many ribbons for us in Western Pleasure events, and was also ridden on barrels and trail.

Colleen's sire is Docs Tivio Clay, at the time owned by NBHA star Connie Hearn, who eventually bought Shadow's first-ever colt, Jesse, seen on the 2006 Sale page.  Colleen's sibling (same sire) is Festus, below.

Colleen is happy at her new home with Frank & Doreen.  Doreen rides her as a trail horse.

Good Luck and Happy Trails!

Flit

"Flit" is a gorgous gelding who's out of a mare no longer owned by us, Scoots Bean.  "Killian" is a granddaughter of Bar Flit on top and Coy's Bonanza on the bottom.

Flit was sired by NY Money, a winning barrel sire and own son of On The Money Red.

Flit's new owner, Samantha Gillis, is showing Flit in barrels too, so the winning On The Money Red lines continue, in part, through Flit.  Best of luck, Samantha!

Festus

Gunsmokes Doc Peppy, known as "Festus", was the first-ever colt foaled at Muir Haven Farm.  His dam is CJs Shootin Star, making him a half-brother to both Colleen, above, our 2006 filly, Smoke, our 2007 colt, Gator and a 2009 sibling by Shadow on the way.  Among them all, you will see what gorgeous foals Star can produce!

Festus was also sired by Connie Hearns' horse Docs Tivio Clay.  You can see how much he and Colleen resemble each other.

His new owners, Mike & Terrie, are using Festus at their ranch as a working cow horse, just what he was bred for.

Thanks for giving him a job he loves!
